Apr-26-22 | For the third quarter of 2021 a slow recovery of the automotive sector is seen, reaching purchases in the Central American region for $451 million, with China being the main supplier, with 27% of the market.
Footwear: Purchases in the Region Are Recovering
Apr-26-22 | For the third quarter of 2021, an increase in Central American purchases of footwear and its parts is observed, reaching imports of $445 million in the period analyzed, with China being the main supplier with $168 million.
Shrimp: Honduras, Main Seller in the Region
Apr-18-22 | For the third quarter of 2021, sales of frozen shrimp and prawns in Central America showed a slight increase in the region, reaching $241 million in exports, of which Honduras is the largest supplier with $188 million at $7.72 per ton.
Beef: Sales in the Region Increase
Apr-18-22 | During the third quarter of 2021, an increase of 22 % was observed, reaching $640 million in exports of fresh, refrigerated and frozen beef, however, in volume it only represented a 2 percent increase, reaching 125,448 tons.
Printers: No Significant Growth in the Region
Apr-11-22 | There was no representative movement for the third quarter of 2021 in the importation of printing machines and devices in Central America; of the purchases made, the main supplier country was the United States.
Cooking Ovens: $88 Million in Purchases
Apr-11-22 | There is a 100% growth in purchases of cooking and roasting ovens in the Central American region by importing $88 million, mainly from Chinese companies that monopolize 50% of the market.
Textiles: Imports of Textile Supplies Increase
Apr-5-22 | Purchases of yarns and textile inputs as of September 2021 in the Central American region represented a 38% increase in volume, reaching 67,548 tons with a value of $245 million, with Salvadoran companies being the main importer.
Gold: Regional Sales Increase
Mar-29-22 | By the third quarter of 2021, gold exports in the Central American region increased by 387% reaching $310 million in sales, the main destination being the United States of America.
Corn: Cereal Value Increases
Mar-29-22 | The value increased in the purchase of corn during the third quarter of 2021, however, the main supplier was the United States of America with 92% of sales with a total value of $965 million.
Diapers: Regional Purchases Increase
Mar-21-22 | During the third quarter, the Central American region purchased $255 million worth of diapers, mainly from Mexico, which captured 47% of the market, with Guatemala being the main importer with $70 million.
Pineapple: Regional Sales Up
Mar-21-22 | For the third quarter of 2021, the value of sales in the Central American region reached $825 million, with the main buyer being the United States of America with $427 million, representing 52% of exports.
