I have just deleted this article from en:wp as a probable hoax, certainly unverifiable. I don't believe it existed on any other project - certainly its SPA author had made no other edits anywhere. Dispatch Issues

Hello GZWDer, after a bit of discussion on IRC with @Lydia Pintscher (WMDE):, we noticed dispatch lag is increasing to the point that it is slowly increasing the time taking for changes to be dispatched to projects form Wikidata. You can see the lag at Special:DispatchStats. We are asking you to please stop your flood account as it is starting to add to the amount of disruption across Wikimedia where Wikidata is enabled. If the flooding still occurs after 30 minutes, we may result to stopping the flooding forcefully though we do not really see this as necessary. Creating duplicates unnecessarily

Please do not use Widar to create empty items for journals like you did with Avian Diseases (Q16836083) dup of Avian Diseases (Q15763142), which had the ISSNs in w:Avian Diseases. You didnt do a title search, and you didnt look at the authority control data on Avian Diseases (Q15763142). I have put a lot of work into removing duplicates, and creating high quality data items for journals. We have items for almost every notable journal. That is not a helpful response. It is not possible to create items with the same links twice. I know I can merge them. By creating duplicate items you create work for me. That is not nice. I need to find the duplicates, otherwise my Wikipedia import bots will populate your duplicates instead of telling me that the Wikipedia page is unlinked and needs investigation. Can you help me find the duplicates? What scripts & rules did you use to create these duplicates? Or do I need to do a mass search for duplicates, costing me at least a day of time? Your bot permission was for semi-automated edits. The bots edit-rate is way too fast to be semi-automated, and you are obviously not doing any thinking for these edits. I believe that you are not using that account in accordance with the requested activity. If this continues, I will start a request to remove the bot flag as it is being abused. @John Vandenberg: I creates items based on pages without items in a category, or in en:Special:UnconnectedPages. Duplicates can not be prevented. However, I can remove pages which is potentially duplicate, but I'm not able to remove 100% duplicate. Magnus Manske also did it: in [1], more than 60% (or even more) are duplicate and can be merged. So is ‎Jura1 and 분당선M. Even fully automatically bot like InkoBot and Dexbot can create duplicate s. That is just because all these users are bot (automatically or semi-automatically), but not human.--GZWDer (talk) 14:14, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

GZWDer, you didnt ask permission to do fully automatic edits, but that is what you are doing. Please only do semi-automated (i.e. manually reviewed edits), or ask permission for what you want to do. Duplicates can be mostly prevented, and there is NO excuse for creating duplicates when the existing wikidata items have authority control information which is also present in the unconnected page. The tool only does what you tell it. If you are not manually reviewing the list of items to create, before sending the list to the creator tool, your bot account does not have permission to automatically create them. If you do not agree, I feel obligated to ask for the bot flag to be reviewed by the community, and I will compile more evidence of you using the bot in fully automated mode without any manual review. Hi again, I have done another quick audit, and I am detecting roughly the same % of duplicates, especially because the rate of duplicates of species is approximately 70%. Please do not import any more species. Please review all of the bots new items which have Latin names, as they are almost all duplicates, and merge them appropriately. Please see Wikidata:BN#RobotGMwikt and note that it did loose its bot status for not complying with the WD:bot policy. You are responsible for cleaning up the damage caused by your bot. @Paperoastro, Ricordisamoa: I can do that by m:User:Hoo_man/smart_rollback.js if need. However, I think claims with only "import from" source like that don't need to be restored. So does items with sourced P31 claims. Help:Sources says, "In some cases the source requirement can be skipped: When a value is common knowledge, and it has not been disputed." Concerning your link, you are right: we don't need to restore those informations, but other items, like this, contain useful information sourced by stated in (P248) and/or reference URL (P854). For your last question: it is correct: in most cases "the value is common knowledge, and it has not been disputed". Other cases we need sources because the objects catalogued it is not clear. Geonames

Hallo, hab grade die Botergänzung bei Blankenstein Castle (Q896291) entfernt, weil sie falsch ist. Die Edits scheinen auf deine Anfrage zurückzugehen. Deswegen frag ich dich. Jetzt hab ich mir in diesem Fall Geonames angeguckt, weiß aber nicht woher diese Zuordnungen kommen oder wo Verbesserungen hinzuschreiben sind. Konkret 2948027 "Haltepunkt Blankenstein Burg" ist sowohl falsch auf der Karte plaziert (der Eisenbahn-Haltepunkt liegt ganz woanders, nämlich weiter nördlich in der Nähe der Ruhr) als auch die Verbindung zur Burgruine ist inhaltlich falsch (Geonames sagt "railroad station", linkt aber zum enwiki-Artikel zur Burg, aber Eisenbahnhaltepunkt ist ja nicht gleich Burg, die Burg liegt aufm Berg oberhalb der Ruhr, also auch nicht da wo die Koordinaten für den Haltepunkt stehen). Von Wikipedia/Wikidata scheinen die Koordinateninfos nicht zu kommen, die sind richtig für die Burg. Gesehen hab ich bei Geonames außerdem, dass auch mehrere benachbarte Einträge in der Nähe falsch sind (zB "2948030 Bahnhof Blankenstein" mitten im Wald, noch etwas weiter östlich eingetragen).
