On 9 and 10 December 2021, armed clashes between Kawaleeb and Hawazma Arab tribes erupted in Kedber village in Delami locality, South Kordofan over livestock theft. The dispute led to a fire exchange, resulting in one reported death from Kawaleeb tribe and two reported injuries. Field teams estimate that between 50 - 100 households have been evacuated from Kedber village and are currently seeking shelter in Delami town. DTM is monitoring the situation closely and will be activating its Emergency Event Tracking (EET) tool, when possible, to track displacement and provide additional information on shelter, sex and age disaggregation, protection indicators, and urgent humanitarian needs.
