Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg on Why We Need More Women Engineers [LIVE]

Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's second-in-command, isn't at a loss for words when it comes to the issue of getting more women in leadership roles in science, technology and business.

Today she's speaking at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, one of the largest conferences focused on women in STEM professions -- science, technology, engineering and mathematics. At 8:55 a.m. PT, she will deliver a keynote on the necessity of getting more women in STEM majors and increasing the amount of females working in engineering.

Sandberg, recently named the fifth most powerful woman in the world, is well known for her concern about the lack of women at the top. Her TED talk in December 2010 on why we have so few women leaders has become one of her most iconic moments. And in a joint interview with Zuckerberg this week, Sandberg claimed that the problem is that women are simply not as ambitious as men.
