:{{Ping|Xoristzatziki}} I appreciate the feedback. I agree that the backups are an critical service that should be continued. In general however the Board is not the one who needs to (or should) get involved in day to day operations like that however. There are just so many day to day concerns (both good and bad) that their work tends to focus very directly on the strategic direction of the foundation as a whole especially since they can not be completely aware of all of the different priorities and other problems that need fixing at the same time. I would encourage you to make your concerns known though. The best place would be too reach out to some [[wmf:Template:Staff_and_contractors#Technical_Operations|of the technical operations]] team or, even better, searching for a task (a bug) on [[phab:|Phabricator]] and creating a new one if you can't find one involving the backup issue so that the right people, and their bosses, can be made aware if they aren't already and can track their progress even if they are already working on it.
