Global rollback for Luckas Blade (2)

I'm a former global rollbacker (reapplying for the function), sysop on ptwikipedia and ptwiktionary, so I've experience with the rollback. Besides, I'm an active member in cvn-sw chan on IRC, visiting various wikis to undo vandalisms and make a special counter-vandalism work on eswikibooks and enwikipedia. --Lucas Nunes 21:35, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Global sysadmin for Werdna

The following discussion is closed.

The Foundation has granted Werdna shell access. To encourage users with shell access to perform logged actions on-wiki, shell users are to be granted the system administrator global permission. Thank you. Kylu 04:40, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so. System administrators have "centralauth-admin, globalgroup(membership or permissions), userrights". I think shell programming access is not relevant with these rights. All rights can be covered by steward.--Kwj2772 () 05:10, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
See Special global permissions. He can already grant himself rights as needed. The idea behind the sysadmin group is to persuade sysadmins to perform these changes in a logged manner, rather than via the shell where the community can't see what's going on. The entire reason for my posting the "request" is so that there is some sort of public record. Frankly, if he wanted to simply grant it to himself, he could do so. Thanks for your input, however. Kylu 05:15, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
What is the relevance with Shell access and user-right-change task?--Kwj2772 () 05:20, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Users with shell access can give themselves any rights they want (and change anyone elses, as well as removing page histories, deleting accounts etc ect). The only thing wrong about this request is that a sysadmin should add him to the group, not a Steward. Prodego talk 05:22, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Ok, bottom line, there is no arguing about that, if the foundation grants their employees rights they do, Cary Bass/Bastique will add these rights, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 05:24, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Werdna is a respected and active member of the community, besides everything else. If he merits global sysop rights on his own standing then the community should give it to him. If not, then not. If he needs a staff account, he'll request them via proper channels. bastique demandez! 21:46, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Global rollback for Baiji

Hello everybody, as a member of the SWMT, sysop and bureaucrat in Spanish Wikipedia and Spanish Wikinews and rollbacker in English Wikipedia, I use to fight also in many other Wikimedia projects against cross-wiki spam/vandalism and I think that the global rollback tool would make my work easier. Thanks a lot. --Baiji --> (Opinión) 10:04, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Comment: While the toolservers are not working fine, I saw that Baiji has been doing a good job in the X-Wiki area. It is a experienced sysop and 'crat at es-wiki and at es-wikinews and he knows how the tool works so IMHO he is a good candidate for the tool. Best regards. —Dferg (meta-w:es.) 18:17, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
  • The problem only is that I can't see him working on 'small' projects (also never seen on the channel nor catched him on any swmt-monitored wiki), he seem to revert vandalism/spam only on the big ones, so I would tend to a no here, still if Baiji could provide difflinks to his work, I might change my mind, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 19:21, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
In despite of a current (but temporary) problem with my PC wich does not allow me to follow recent changes by the IRC channel, I use to go through different projects almost everyday. Some examples of my work are: [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]. Best regards, --Baiji --> (Opinión) 23:15, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, sounds good to me, I would say   Support then (and thanks for Your work), best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 01:59, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Does your comment from above mean that you don't use IRC at all? --FiliP × 16:39, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
  • When my PC works well I use to stay in some IRC channels, in addition I'm the owner of the cloak wikipedia/Baiji, but actualy I can't enter there for some days. Best regards, --Baiji --> (Opinión) 04:43, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Seems to be a well-trusted user on several wikis already and has demonstrated cross-wiki vandal fitting. I say grant the flag but let's wait a few more days to allow other Stewards more time to comment. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 16:48, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Global rollback for finnrind

This might be too early to put forward such a request, since I just recently joined SWMT. Until this february, my crosswiki contribs have mainly been connected with Commons. I'm sysop at Commons&nowiki, rollbacker at enwiki. I follow #cwn-sw whenever I'm online from my private computer, and revert/tag vandalism when noone else beats me to it (which isn't that often, swmt doesn't seem shorthanded at the moment). I'm not doing many revert each day, but enough to miss the tools I'm used to from elsewhere. Regards, Finn Rindahl 14:22, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
