Congrats to Kendra Allenby, who has just posted this drawing on social media, announcing she’s completed walking the Continental Divide Trail.
Ms. Allenby also posted the following:
It’s a strange thing, finishing a trail like this. The occasion and transition are too big to really wrap your head around until much later. But there it is. I just walked a continuous footpath from Mexico to Canada on the Continental Divide Trail and its many alternates. I hiked 3 months solo, pushing the limit of my body and mind, and then hiked for a month and a half with an amazing hiker crew. It was stunningly hard, and stunningly beautiful. And no doubt it is changing me in obvious and sneaky ways that will only be revealed in time.
Kendra Allenby began contributing to The New Yorker in 2015.
