Virtual Gift Exchange

Whether you call it "White Elephant", "Yankee Swap", or something else, this is the virtual version of a gift exchange. Best of all, it's free with no need to wait in line at the store or post office!

With the virtual version of your favorite gift exchange, "gifts" are virtual too and only limited by your team's imagination. Participants can find existing images online or make their own creations - the sky's the limit!

How it Works:

1. Participants send their gift image to a designated facilitator (must be logged in) in advance of the session.

2. The facilitator sets up the board, "wrapping" each of the gift images in a numbered frame using Miro's hidden frame feature.

3. Once the board is set up, the exchange begins!

4. A drawing order is determined and play follows standard gift exchange rules (included in the template). Participants can either "unwrap" one of the numbered hidden frames for their gift or choose to "steal" an already open gift from someone else.

5. Watch hilarity ensue as teams try to justify and steal their imaginary gifts!

This template works for large or small groups - it includes 3 boards of up to 25 participants each, with the ability to remove or add more.

Note: For maximum engagement, if you have a large group (over 25), you may want to break out into smaller groups for the actual exchange and then come back together as a larger group to share your results.
