വെള്ളി എറിയൻ
പരുന്തുകളിൽ കാക്കയോളം വലിപ്പമുള്ള ഒരിനമാണ് വെള്ളി എറിയൻ[2] [3][4][5] - Black-winged Kite. വരണ്ട പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ കുറ്റിക്കാടുകൾ ധാരാളമുള്ള പ്രദേശത്താണു ഇവ കൂടുതലായും കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്.

ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഇവയുടെ ചിറകിനുമുകളിലായി ഒരു കറുത്തപട്ട ദൃശ്യമാകുന്നു. ഇവയുടെ കണ്ണിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തായി വീതികുറഞ്ഞ കറുത്ത കൺപട്ട കടന്നു പോകുന്നു. ചിറകിലെ വലിയ തൂവലുകൾക്ക് കറുപ്പ് നിറമാണ്. വെള്ള നിറത്തിലുള്ള ഇവയുടെ വാലിലെ തൂവലുകൾ എല്ലാം ഒരേ നീളമാണുള്ളത്. പറക്കുമ്പോൾ കാറ്റിനെതിരായി ചവിട്ടി നിൽക്കാനുള്ള ശേഷി ഇവയ്ക്കുണ്ട്.
