Inside Zac Efron's Life Post-Split from Girlfriend Sami Miré

Zac Efron is laying low following his sudden split from girlfriend Sami Miré.

Since calling it quits with Miré after nearly two years of dating, Efron, 28, has been diving into work. The actor is currently filming Baywatch and promoting his upcoming film Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, out May 20.

“Zac tends to keep to himself and doesn’t seem to hang out with his coworkers often,” a source tells PEOPLE.

And when he’s not filming, the actor turns his focus to his fitness. To keep up with his insanely ripped beach body, Efron uses his off-time to hit the gym. “Between every take and whenever he is not filming, he does push-ups and finds chairs to do tricep dips,” says the source.

But when he does make time for fun, he enlists the company of a few of his sexy costars.

“[He] doesn’t do much interacting with costars except for the girls,” adds the source.

Efron has been spotted going out to local bars with Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Izabel Goulart.

PEOPLE confirmed that the High School Musical star and model, both 28, called it quits last week, after Efron removed all photos of Miré from his Instagram and stopped following her social media.

Days after the split, Miré was spotted out with DJ Alex Andre, and a source told PEOPLE that the two are dating.

Last week, while promoting Neighbors 2, Efron spoke out on how, nowadays, he’s decided to simply focus on what makes him happy.

“Try and find what really motivates you, find what you love, and do your best to keep searching for that thing,” the star told reporters, adding, “Work hard when you find it.”
