2021 week 31 1.37-wmf.17 Changes wmf/1.37.0-wmf.17

This MediaWiki Train Deployment is scheduled for the week of Monday, August 2nd:

Monday August 2ndTuesday, August 3rdWednesday, August 4thThursday, August 5thFriday
Backports only.Branch wmf.17 and deploy to Group 0 Wikis.Deploy wmf.17 to Group 1 Wikis.Deploy wmf.17 to all Wikis.No deployments on fridays

How this works

  • Any serious bugs affecting wmf.17 should be added as subtasks beneath this one.
  • Any open subtask(s) block the train from moving forward. This means no further deployments until the blockers are resolved.
  • If something is serious enough to warrant a rollback then you should bring it to the attention of deployers on the #wikimedia-operations IRC channel.
  • If you have a risky change in this week's train add a comment to this task using the Risky patch template
  • For more info about deployment blockers, see Holding the train.

o/ If you see anything with flagged revs, ping me.

FYI to the train conductor:

This week might see some bug reports around missing user interface styles in MonoBook, Modern and CologneBlue skins relating to T287410.
This week might also see some complaints from MonoBook users due to a disruption caused by a user preference switchover which users were notified about in T285991. This is not a regression and is easily fixed by a visit to Special:Preferences.

Neither of these should be treated as deploy blockers if encountered but please redirect any users or bug reports to me and/or the relevant tickets as appropriate.

o/ If you see anything with flagged revs, ping me.

Thanks! Is there any risky patch in particular that bears mentioning here?

It's https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/FlaggedRevs/+/709218 but I don't think it's big enough to warrant a "risky patch" comment
