The University of Wyoming, Department of Atmospheric Science was established in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences to educate and research climate, high-impact weather, and air quality. They became leaders in airborne atmospheric research through the development of the UW King Air research aircraft facility, started in the 1960's. It was a cornerstone of their observational facilities, with field campaigns across the US and internationally. |
