Two former presidents -- Corazon C. Aquino, who led the ''people power'' uprising that toppled Ferdinand E. Marcos in 1986, and Joseph Estrada, who was ousted in the second one in 2001 -- joined thousands of priests, nuns, farmers, leftists and students in a march through Manila's financial district to press for President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's resignation over corruption allegations. It was one of the largest demonstrations against her. The police estimated the crowd at 15,000, while organizers put it at more than 75,000 people. Mrs. Aquino addressed the crowd from a makeshift stage. ''Gloria, it's enough!'' she said. ''Resign!'' Then it was Mr. Estrada's turn to speak. ''What should we do if someone is overstaying?'' he asked the protesters. ''Resign!'' they shouted back.
