About

Collaborators

Wikimedia Research is part of a broader community of scholars and students of Wikimedia projects and other open collaboration platforms and communities. Collaboration with researchers inside and outside of the Wikimedia Foundation – from academia, industry, and the movement – is what keeps our research environment vibrant.

Collaborations have included researchers from institutions such as: EPFL, Cornell University, Google Jigsaw, Stanford University, and the University of Minnesota. You can view a full list of our current collaborators on our formal collaborations page.

All formal collaborations are subject to the Wikimedia Foundation's Open Access policy – a policy ensuring that all output resulting from a collaboration (code, data, publications) be made available and released in the open without restrictions, to the benefit of our volunteer community and other researchers.
