Summary

This collection brings together leading environmental policy scholars to analyse whether the economic crisis has affected EU environmental policy ambition in Europe. It combines national case studies of Denmark and Sweden, Germany and the UK, France, Spain, and Romania, as well as touching upon non-EU members Australia, Canada, Switzerland, and New Zealand. It employs a common methodological framework across every chapter - the Index of Policy Activity (IPA) - andcontributes new quantitative and qualitative applications to this toolkit. It is of interest to public policy scholars interested in the application and further development of the index of policyactivity, and to environmental policy experts and EU scholars keen to understand the impact of the economic crisis upon environmental policy ambition.
