About us

Kent is a large county which covers an area of 354,296 hectares, bordering Greater London, Surrey, East Sussex, Medway and the Channel coast. There are 18 towns and one city, with 77% of residents living urban areas.

There are 99 libraries across the county and rural areas are served by our fleet of 5 mobile libraries. We also provide home deliveries of books and other items via volunteers to customers who are unable to get to a static or mobile library.

We offer public access to the Internet via computers in all our static libraries, with free WiFi also available. There is a remote enquiry service that can be accessed 24/7 and a wide range of resources accessible through our website; eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers can all be downloaded for free.
