Gadgets

Below is a list of special gadgets users can enable on their preferences page, as defined by the definitions. This overview provides easy access to the system message pages that define each gadget's description and code.

User interface gadgets[View description]

• UTCLiveClock: a clock in the personal toolbar that shows the current time in UTC, and provides a purge link.‎  (View description | Export)

• Template tab: This adds a new tab to mainspace pages, which provides a convenient edit link for the template of the same name.  (View description | Export)

• Navigation popups: article previews and editing functions pop up when hovering over links  (View description | Export)

• Links count: Counts total number of pages linked to a specific page on Special:WhatLinksHere (and transclusion, for templates)  (View description | Export)

Advanced[View description]

• Real-Time Recent Changes: Monitor and patrol recent changes in real-time (documentation).  (View description | Export)
  Uses: Gadget-RTRC.js

Browsing[View description]

• Twinkle, a set of tools that automates common tasks such as reporting vandalism, warning vandals, requesting deletion, welcoming users, and tagging articles. (Preferences panel)  (View description | Export)

Admin tools[View description]

• Clean Delete Reasons: This script will remove the automatic deletion reasons to keep the delete logs uncluttered. It will not affect the reason when specified in the URL.  (View description | Export)

  Requires the following right: delete.
  Enabled for everyone by default.
• Autodelete links: Adds an 'autodelete' tab. After prompting you for a summary, all the links on the page or in the log will appear with a autodelete link next to them that will delete them instantly with the summary provided.  (View description | Export)

MoreMenu[View description]

• MoreMenu: add Page and User dropdown menus to the toolbar with links to common tasks, analytic tools and logs.  (View description | Export)

• HotCat, easily add / remove / change a category on a page, with name suggestion [example]  (View description | Export)

• Cat-a-lot: A tool that helps with moving multiple files between categories or adding categories to search results.  (View description | Export)
