Question:

My neighbor's dog barks all the time. What can I do?
Answer:

Barking dogs and other loud or nuisance animals bring frequent complaints to the City, particularly in warm weather when windows are open. If the noise is from a neighbor's pet, consider speaking with your neighbor before reporting the nuisance. Sometimes a conversation with your neighbor can resolve the issue without causing hard feelings. If discussing the issue with your neighbor is not an option or has not worked, you may report the dog to the City.
To report a loud, barking dog in Tacoma, call (253) 627-PETS(7387) or 311; in Fircrest, call (253) 565-1198.
