Chet Singh Ghat in Varanasi had a tryst with glamour on Wednesday night, as actors Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan were seen shooting for Shoojit Sirkar's film, Piku. The actors, who reached the city in the morning, began shooting at the
ghat late in the evening amidst tight security. Though much secrecy was maintained about the shoot, but as the word spread, several onlookers arrived on the adjoining
ghat to watch the actors perform.
Despite great chilly conditions, the shoot continued till late.

ghat which was part of the scene. The cast and crew easily braved the chilly conditions but certain activities on the
ghat at times made them stop for a while. The director had to flash the pointer light at a
bajra on the other end of the river Ganga as some revellers inside the boat were busy singing some
Bhojpuri numbers creating quite a noise. Even the hooter of the
Jal police making a round of the river made the crew take it easy for a while.
The query of the
Jal police personnel ,
kya yahan shooting ho rahi, made Deepika flash her dimpled smile. Irrfan also appeared to enjoy the shooting stint on the
ghat as he happily posed for clicks with his fans. The writer of the film Juhi Chaturvedi was also seen on the sets.
