Switching the fallback language of the Chavacano Wikipedia
Is there a possibility that the fallback language of the Chavacano Wikipedia be switched to English? (I note that a previous request had been made in 2009: https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Thread:Support/Fallback_language_for_cbk-zam.wikipedia.org.) Though a Spanish creole, most speakers of Chavacano cannot understand Spanish (like most people in the Philippines), hence, many messages that have not been translated would be incomprehensible for those who speak Chavacano and may discourage people from editing. This Wikipedia is largely inactive.

However, I'd love to use this opportunity to also add namespace translations, because it's done in the same file. It's very simple! Read the "Translating namespace names" section on this page: Translating:MediaWiki#Translating namespace names. I only need translations for the words in the "Namespace name" column in the first table (but please read the explanations in the "Description" column before translating to make sure you understand them correctly).

Is it still possible to switch?
It's possible, but can you please involve native speakers? Configuration changes of this kind are a major thing, especially for a language that already has a Wikipedia with an active community of editors. They may be difficult to undo if someone doesn't like it. For example, can you start a discussion about this on a community discussion page in the Chavacano Wikipedia and get some responses? Good day, Would it still be possible to pursue this? I greatly believe that switching the fallback language would make the interface more understandable for potential editors. I have started a discussion at https://cbk-zam.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_discusi%C3%B3n:Tambayan_De_Los_Chavacanos#Switching_the_fallback_language_to_English, although the Wiki is not so active so I am not sure how much discussion it would generate. If no discussion occurs, how should I proceed?
