What Does the TRUSTe Seal Mean?
TRUSTe helps businesses that collect or process personal information to demonstrate responsible data collection and processing practices consistent with regulatory expectations and external standards for privacy accountability. If you see a TRUSTe Privacy Seal, the company has met the privacy and data governance management requirements established by TRUSTe or applicable regulatory bodies. The review process helps ensure the business is transparent about what information they collect and how they use the information; the business provides you with control over what information they collect and how they use that information; and the business is accountable to the practices they outline in their privacy notice.
If you have any concerns with the privacy practices of a business that displays
a TRUSTe Privacy Seal, or lists TRUSTe as
their dispute resolution provider, you can
use our Dispute Resolution process for assistance resolving your claim.
