M97-01 – UCA PRESS RECORDS COLLECTION

The University of Central Arkansas Press was established in 1985 during President Jefferson D. Farris’ tenure.  Although the Press mainly published esoteric titles during its early years, it had branched out into historical book by the time of its demise in 1996.

President Winfred L. Thompson closed the press in 1996 citing fiscal consideration although at its closing it had titles in print of the 23 books published.  Dr. Robert E. Lowrey was the Press’ director for its duration.

Arrangement:  This collection is housed in four boxes and is arranged chronologically.
