The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Digital Media Arts programme has been developed for students with a passion for animation, music technology or game art who want a hands-on, industry-oriented programme, supported by a curriculum that is geared toward the international industry, values our national and regional cultural context and has a strong practical emphasis. It will provide a pathway to new opportunities and encourage students to acquire critical skills locally.

The students of the programme will be equipped to independently perform idea development, design, execute, produce, and complete the delivery of complex media projects for local and global mass media, utilizing industry standard practices andprocedures.

Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination CAPE LEVELS I and II with grade 3 and above a minimum of two (2) subjects. Applicants with Advanced Level OR both CAPE LEVEL I and CAPE LEVEL II passes in Animation and Game Design, Art and Design, Digital Media, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Performing Arts, and Mathematics, may be eligible for certain exemptions. General Paper or Communication Studies would be an asset to applicants. Applicants should also normally have attained five (5) CSEC OR five (5) ORDINARY LEVEL passes including English, Mathematics, and a Science or Art subject at Grades I or II and from 1998 Grade III or equivalent

Mature Student Entry:
An applicant who does not satisfy all the stipulated minimum academic or technical qualifications for admission to the programme may be accepted as a Mature Student. He/she would need to possess the critical elements of the stipulated qualification and would be assessed by the UTT Programme Head as possessing a combination of qualifications and educational or experiential maturity to enable him/her to successfully participate in the programme.
