Grant funding is an integral part of today's academic environment. Access to and successful management of grant awards enhance a university's competitive advantage on a regional and international landscape.

The International Office and Grant Funding Unit (IOGF) provides an integrated team of professionals aimed at serving the faculty, staff and students with the administration of proposals and awards for support of externally funded projects, research, scholarly or professional training.

The helpful, customer-focused team at the International Office and Grant Funding, provides support to faculty, staff and students in accessing grant opportunities and successfully managing awarded grants.

Our aim is to support the University’s research and commercialization thrust in promoting innovative and multidisciplinary initiatives that address national and international priorities.

Grants Proposal Development

What we do:

  • Act as the principal point of contact between grant applicants, grantees and funding agencies
  • Identify, attract and pursue grant funding opportunities nationally and internationally
  • Maximize funding opportunities through promotion on university forums
  • Link UTT research and innovation projects with funding agencies
  • Provide support to faculty and staff with writing and submission of proposals for grant and project funding

Grants Management

What we do:

  • Principal recipient of grant on behalf of the university
  • Coordinating, preparation and submission of interim and final reports
  • Liaison with functional departments of the University to execute grant stipulations
  • Manage project implementation of awarded projects to ensure compliance and transparency
