Faculty - Are you interested in pursuing research or exploring collaborations with a partner institution to support your programme area? Are you in discussions with faculty peers at a Canadian institution and would like to further explore this alliance?

Managers and Policy makers - Would you like to engage a partner institution in your functional area to share ideas and best practices?

You may be eligible for funding!

The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), through its International Office and Grant Funding Unit (IOGF), has established partnerships with various institutions in Canada. In addition, the IOGF is available to further develop linkages that faculty and staff currently have with Canadian Higher Education Institutions.

Through partnerships and collaborations with Canadian Higher Education Institutions students, staff and faculty have the opportunity to pursue funded study, research abroad, or exploratory visits under the Government of Canada's Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) initiatives.

1. The Emerging Leaders in the Americas Programme
This programme provides funding to undergraduate and postgraduate students to complete a semester abroad at a Canadian institution (restrictions apply).

2. The Canada-CARICOM Leadership Scholarships Programme
This programme provides students and researchers from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels.

3. Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Programme
The Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Programme provides faculty, managers or international liaison officers from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) with short-term exchange opportunities for professional development, research or collaborations at Canadian post-secondary institutions.
