Past UTT Patriots Cricket student-athlete, Hayden Walsh Jr., has been retained by the Barbados Tridents for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 cricket tournament.

The right-armed wrist spinner was the 2019 CPL's 'Most Valuable Player' when the Tridents were crowned champions, defeating the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 27 runs.

Hayden has quickly become one of the best fielders in world cricket. He started his international career in 2019 and has already played ten One Day International (ODI) and seventeen Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.

This year's edition of the tournament will be held in St. Kitts & Nevis. Prior to 2019, the last time the Tridents won the CPL was in 2014.
