Six UTT students were awarded scholarships to pursue a semester exchange programme at partner Universities in Canada commencing in January 2022.
We extend congratulations to the following students who received scholarships via the following two programmes:
Canada-CARICOM Skills Training for the Green Economy Scholarship Program:
  1. Mr. Joshua Ling-Choung currently pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Entrepreneurship
  2. Mr. Aliy King currently pursuing the Renewable Energy Engineering Technology Diploma
  3. Mr. Marc Edwards currently pursuing the Renewable Energy Engineering Technology Diploma
Emerging Leaders in the Americas Scholarship Program
  1. Ms. Cleondre Hamm currently pursuing the Bachelor of Science Kinesiology
  2. Mr. Shane Holford currently pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Performing Arts
  3. Ms. Sydney Darius currently pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Performing Arts
These scholarships were made possible through formalized academic partnerships with higher education institutions in Canada and funded through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development in Canada.
Through these scholarships our students will have the opportunity to engage in a practical immersive international experience.  They will also be exposed to different cultural and community perspectives that expands their knowledge on their specific area of educational pursuit along with global issues.
We take this opportunity to congratulate these students and we wish them every success as they prepare to embark on an exciting semester aboard.
