The first of its kind in the Trinidad and Tobago and by extension the Caribbean, this new programme ensures that students can gain the expertise to prepare for new and exciting career paths in sport and its allied fields. The programme also offers an opportunity to gain expertise in the scientific approach to the preparation and management of athletes and active individuals.
Additionally, the programme makes a strong connection between sport and the community, and charts an authentic course for using sport as a tool for personal and social development and entrepreneurship.

Five (5) CSEC (CXC O’Level’s) or GCE O’ Level subjects, inclusive of Math, English and a Science (Human and Social Biology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Integrated Science, Agricultural Science) AND Any two (2) Cape (Unit 1 and 2) or GCE A’ Level subjects plus General Paper or Caribbean Studies or Communication Studies; Physical Education at the CXC/GCE O’ Level and CAPE level will be an asset; OR

Certificate in Sport Studies or equivalent programme; OR

A combination of relevant experience and academic qualification. Students may be subject to an aptitude test and an interview to determine suitability for entry to the programme.
Mature Student Entry
An applicant who does not satisfy all the stipulated minimum academic or technical qualifications for admission to the Bachelors programme may be accepted as a mature student. He/She would need to possess the critical elements of the stipulated qualification and would be assessed by the UTT Programme Professor/Leader for possession of a combination of qualifications and educational or experiential maturity to enable him/her to participate successfully in the programme.
