As an educator, Mr. Orville Carrington’s extensive career spanned several decades, with some of those years spent in service with the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association (TTUTA) as its Second Vice President. Mr. Carrington’s professional competencies include: industrial relations, negotiation skills, financial management, and conflict resolution among others.

With a Teachers Diploma from the then Valsayn Teachers' College, Mr. Carrington has participated in several local and regional conferences, workshops and training sessions; all of which have served to expand his knowledge base in issues pertinent to industrial relations and the education sector. His experience has also allowed him to be part of a number of influential committees which have made indelible contributions to the local education landscape.
