HarpWeekIn 1999, VIVA purchased shared access to HarpWeek: The Civil War Era: 1857-1865 for the public and private Pooled Funds institutions that had not previously purchased access, including the Library of Virginia. In 2001, VIVA added the Reconstruction I: 1866-1871 and Reconstruction II: 1872-1877 content for these institutions. VIVA continues to pay an annual access fee out of central funds. Private schools that were not part of the VIVA Pooled Funds program at the time do not have access to HarpWeek: Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Lynchburg College, and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
