The NFLRC at GU/CAL is one of six centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education under a program that awards grants to support research in foreign language teaching and learning. The mission of the GU/CAL NFLRC is to advance the field of foreign language education with ongoing research and training projects which focus on the following areas:

• Technology-Assisted Language Instruction
• Less-Commonly-Taught Languages Database
• Assessment of Foreign Language Proficiency
• Survey of Foreign Language Tests
