Affairs
manages and safeguards University assets and
liabilities. The division is charged with formulating, implementing and
monitoring financial policies and procedures and preparing and
interpreting financial reports and analyses. Service units include

Human Resources provides
recruitment, job evaluation and classification, organizational development
and training,salary and
human resource policy administration for all University staff positions,
benefit administration for all faculty and staff, and the Faculty
and Staff assistance program. In addition, all employees may become
members of Georgetown
University Employee Federal Credit Union.

The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program
(FSAP) assists faculty and staff members and their families with a variety
of professional and personal concerns. The FSAP's primary functions
are to provide short-term and crisis counseling to employees, to
coordinate educational programs regarding wellness and work/life issues,and
to provide confidential resources and referrals for all faculty andstaff
members.

Internal Audit
provides review of the management and implementation of business processesand
practices to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and University
policies and procedures.

Outreach Programs

Planning and Institutional
Research (OPIR) provides University decision-makers with internal and external data and analytical reports designed to improve the quality of University planning and the achievement of University goals and objectives.

Office
of the Provost
-
Office of Public Affairs represents
the University and its components to a variety of external constituents,including
the media, the federal and local governments, and the D.C. and Georgetown
communities. Public Affairs also communicates Universitypolicies
and positions to a variety of internal constituents, including faculty,
students, alumni and University volunteers. Public Affairsis responsible
for planning communications strategy and identifying emerging issues.
