| The Office of Alumni and University Relations is Georgetown's
"institutional advancement" unit -- dedicated to creating the support among
key constituencies that is essential to the attainment of larger University
goals. "OAUR" -- as the unit is known -- is composed of three units: the
Office of University Development, responsible for maximizing private gift
support to Georgetown; the Georgetown
University Alumni Association, responsible for strengthening the relationship
between the University and its 100,000 alumni; and the Office of Advancement
Services, which provides infrastructure support for OAUR.
