Current inflation rate
In December, CPI inflation (measured as the annual change in the consumer price index) stood at 0.4 per cent (0.5 per cent in November). The underlying inflation rate UND1X (CPI excluding households' mortgage interest expenditure and the direct effects of changes in indirect taxes and subsidies) was 0.8 per cent in December (1.9 per cent in November).
 
Adjusted for energy prices, annual CPI and UND1X inflation in December was 0.1 per cent and 0.8 per cent, respectively (0.1 per cent and 0.8 per cent in November).
 
The inflation is calculated monthly by Statistics Sweden.
 
Riksbank target: 2 per cent
The Riksbank's target is to maintain inflation at a rate of 2 per cent ±1 percentage point, when measured by CPI.
