Native New Yorkers: The Lenape Then and Now Lecture by Linda Poolaw

Linda Poolaw (Kiowa/Delaware) is a leader of the Delaware tribe, a respected Native activist, and the first Grand Chief of the Delaware of North America.In this lecture she will describe how the Lenape lived in the New York area prior to the Europeans' arrival, and how their descendants live today. This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of Hudson River Park. A light dinner will follow the lecture. Advanced reservations are encouraged.
