The task of the Division for Economic Policy Analysis is to monitor, and initiate analyses of, trends and developments in Sweden and abroad that can influence economic activity and that are thereby of interest for the conduct of Swedish monetary policy. The division carries out its work in the form of both projects and shorter analyses. It also draws up background material and participates in the preparatory work for issues concerning international economic policy. Moreover, the division assists in drawing up the minutes of the Executive Board’s monetary policy meetings in connection with interest rate decisions. The division is also involved in the writing of speeches and press releases and produces background data for the Inflation Report.
Organisation
The Division for Economic Policy Analysis consists of six people and is headed by Hans Dellmo.
