Brown, D-Prince George's, sat in his law office recently debating with his wife via cell phone over who would be able to take their 5-year-old son to kung fu practice. A little more than a month ago, Lt. Col. Brown was finishing up a one-year stint in Iraq serving as a judge advocate general in the U.S. Army Reserves.
