Repo rate held unchanged at 1.5 per cent

At its meeting on Thursday, 1 December, the Executive Board of the Riksbank decided to hold the repo rate unchanged at 1.5 per cent. This decision was reached as UND1X inflation a couple of years ahead was expected to be roughly in line with the Riksbank’s inflation target.

Commemorative coin issue in 2006

Sveriges Riksbank will issue a commemorative coin next year to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Swedish railway. The coin will be issued in silver with the denomination SEK 200 and in gold with the denomination SEK 2,000.

New system for publication

On Tuesday, 6 December, the Riksbank will begin using a new electronic system, Observer Online, for the distribution of, for instance, press releases, speeches, minutes of monetary policy meetings and statistics.
