The Applied Research Division is responsible for conducting in-depth studies of areas such as monetary policy, fiscal policy and the labour market. These studies are normally presented in the form of boxes in the Inflation Report or as articles in the Riksbank’s quarterly journal, Sveriges Riksbank Economic Review. The division is also responsible for drafting comments on official reports that concern the department’s activities and for writing background material for speeches held by the Executive Board members.
Organisation
The Applied Research Division consists of six people and is headed by Stefan Palmqvist.
