The National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic has started organizing continuous training for the library patrons.
You can get access to one of the largest data bases of periodical EBSCO in the Center of public Internet access of the National library.
Readers have possibility of searching of bibliographic data on collection of national publications kept in book funds of the National library of the Kyrgyz Republic.
An electronic systematic card index of articles on legal issues of the Center of legal information can be found at the web site.
CENTER OF PUBLIC INTERNET ACCESS
The center provides free access to Internet resources and electronic mail for ones who wish. A room has modern equipment and 10 seats, also a printer and a scanner can be used.
LIBRARY CENTER OF LEGAL INFORMATION
The Library center of legal information was created in 1996. A book fund of the Library Center of Legal Information has about 14 thousand of books and 8 thousand of periodical on legal issues. Electronic issues take special place in the funds of the National library. Free access to different sources of full text legal information including information and legal databases of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is provided for ones who wish. Databases “Toktom” and “Adviser” introduce the Kyrgyz legislation.
ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC LIBRARIES
The Association of public libraries was founded in 2001 on the initiative of the National Library of Kyrgyz Republic. The Association unified 11 largest public libraries of the country. The Association supervises activities of public libraries and introduces common interests in solving development problems.
