Collector coin in honour of the demilitarisation of Åland Islands (31.3.2006)
The Mint of Finland Ltd has on a decree of the Finnish Ministry of Finance minted a 5 euro collector coin of Nordic Gold alloy to honour the jubilee year of Åland’s demilitarisation. On the 30th March, 2006, 150 years have passed since the demilitarisation of Åland Islands.

Collector coin to honour the lifework   of J.V. Snellman (8.2.2006)
The Mint of Finland Ltd has on a decree of the Finnish Ministry of Finance minted a 10 euro silver collector coin to honour the lifework of J.V. Snellman. In 2006, 200 years have passed since the birth of the statesman and philosopher J.V. Snellman (1806 – 1881), and 125 years since his death.
