Modelling Division

The Modelling Division is responsible for developing and maintaining models for use in the department's forecasting and analysis. The emphasis is on models that have a strong foundation in modern economic theory. The aim of these models is to contribute to a more in-depth understanding of inflation and its determinants, as well as to the effects of monetary policy on inflation and the real economy. The division is also responsible for coordinating the modelling work at other divisions in the department and maintains contacts with other central banks regarding modelling issues. Aspects of the division’s development work sometimes touch upon research-related questions, and the division cooperates with the Riksbank’s Research Department.

Organisation
