 
What is the difference between a template-based and a custom web site?
For individual professors, we offer two web site products: template-based and custom. The template-based design uses this template: Sample. The design and colors are customized using images you provide to us, and the content is limited to the menu buttons shown.
The custom product includes an original design and allows virtually unlimited content, such as photo galleries, extensive downloads, passworded member-only section, news & events, course information, etc. Here are examples: Denmark, Sasisekharan

Isn't this service already provided through my university or college?
Not really. Most campus computing centers don’t have the time to provide you with more than the bare minimum – rarely updated page with minimal information and few, if any, links or downloadable material. AWP will ensure that your pages look professional, contain important information about your work, and stay current.
Where will my faculty web page be hosted?
Academic Web Pages (AWP) puts your web pages right on your college or university web site.
How will AWP gain access to my faculty web site?
With your authorization, AWP typically works directly with your system administrator.
What happens when my c.v. changes or I publish new article? How will my web pages stay current?
With an annual maintenance contract, you can make unlimited content changes to your Web pages throughout the year.
Can I move my Web pages if I transfer to another college or university?
Yes, for $1,000.00, AWP will update your Web pages with your new information, adjust the design to match your new web site, and transfer them to your new institution.
How will AWP obtain photographs of me and my researchers? How many photographs can I use on my Web pages?
You may provide AWP with as many images of you and your lab members and images from your research as you wish to include on your web pages.
How will AWP know what information to include on my web pages?
The information on your web pages will come from your c.v., your existing web-site, and any additional information you provide to AWP. Once we have completed preliminary version of your web pages you will be asked to review and correct these pages. Once you have approved your web pages they will "go live."
How do I get started?
The first thing we will need from you are images to use in the design of your new site's home page.
What if I do not have any images?
We can supply images for you if you have none. We will use images from your campus, surrounding city or countryside, and clip art images where appropriate.
Where will you get the content?
We will start by converting all content from your existing web site, if appropriate. Next we will incorporate all content that you provide to us.
How can I get my images to you?
You can send them as attachments to email messages. You can also use our upload tool. [ Upload Page ]
