Britannica's Ultimate Reference Suite Serves Knowledge Seekers of All Ages
Three Encyclopedias and Other Sources Take Users From Grade School to Graduate School and Beyond
CHICAGO, September 4, 2002 - Encyclopędia Britannica, Inc. today announced the
release of its 2003 Ultimate Reference Suite, an expanded multimedia product
for information seekers of all ages, from grade school to graduate school and beyond.
The new product, available on CD-ROM and DVD for Windows and Macintosh computers,
breaks new ground in multimedia reference by providing comprehensive information
for everyone from elementary school to adulthood in one place. The product
includes three encyclopedias: the Encyclopędia Britannica and two others
for students in the early and middle grades. Each encyclopedia forms the
cornerstone of an integrated "reference library" that includes a dictionary,
thesaurus, atlas and historical timelines appropriate to the age of the user.
"The Ultimate Reference Suite is a complete home reference source that makes
finding information easy for everyone-young, old and in between," said
Britannica CEO Ilan Yeshua. "Young students can use it, then advance to the
next level when they're ready, and adults can use it all their lives.
Because it has the Encyclopędia Britannica, you never outgrow it."
