What is FedEx?

The Federation Officers (Co-Presidents and NWRO) are accountable to the Federation Executive (Fedex) who manage NZUSA between General Meetings. Fedex consists of one representative, usually the President, of each member association and the three Federation Officers as well as representatives from NZUSA's parallel national Maori students association Te Mana Akonga.

The purpose of the Federation Executive is to monitor and advise Federation Office. They act as a decision making body in between Conferences, but cannot overturn a decision made at a General Meeting.

General Meetings

NZUSA policy or constitutional alterations can only be set at General Meetings. General Meetings are held at least three times a year to coincide with the NZUSA Conferences in January, July and September. All member student associations have delegates with voting rights present at these meetings. The General Meeting can direct the Co-Presidents, The Natianal Women's Rights Officer and Fedex in their duties. The General Meeting is therefore the most powerful body in NZUSA.
