This section contains a presentation of banknotes from earlier series that have ceased to be legal tender, but in certain cases can still be redeemed by the Riksbank. You can find out how to redeem them in the section "Redemption of banknotes/invalid banknotes".
Some banknote denominations in the same series have slightly differing designs, depending on the year they were printed. In these cases only one variety is depicted, while the specific differences are described in the accompanying text.
The Riksbank does not conduct any numismatic activities, and suggests that if you have any questions in this field, you should contact a coin dealer or private collector.
