Managua, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) The Permanent Conference of Political Parties of the Latin American and the Caribbean (COPPAL) is meeting from Monday in Managua to analyze its working plan for the 2006-2007 period.
The event ending Tuesday will be attended by delegates of Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Uruguay, Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama, Haiti, Dominican Republic and the Sahrawi Republic, among others.
Besides, Daniel Ortega and Tomas Borge, secretary and deputy general secretary of the Sandinista national Liberation Front (FSLN), respectively, are taking part in the encounter as especial guests.
The 52-member group has scheduled a ceremony to honor the recently deceased Salvadorian Shafick Handal, leader of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front.
