Optus-C1 is a third-generation fixed-satellite services system designed to replace an existing spacecraft in the Singtel Optus Ltd. communications constellation over Australia. One of the more complex satellites, it carries 16 antennas, along with additional capabilities. Optus-C1 provides communications coverage for Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, as well as for the Australian Defence Forces.
