Industrial production index (IPI)

News:
Starting from the reference month January 2005, the Industrial production index is calculated as a chain index. The weights used are value added from the annual national accounts. The aggregation to the total industry is done with a more up-to-date industry structure than before.

A new method for seasonal adjustment has also been implemented. The adjustment is now done by TRAMO/SEATS.

These changes have resulted in a revision of the time series from January 1990.

More information about these changes can be found in the publication "The Swedish Economy - statistical perspective, fourth quarter 2004" which was released on March 22.
