The General Secretariat (STA) is responsible for several of the Riksbank's support and coordination processes. These include providing support to the Executive Board and to the meetings of the board, legal advice to the General Council, the Executive Board and the departments of the Riksbank, support and coordination of the international work as well as the Riksbank's communication strategy and the coordination of external and internal information.
The department also has responsibility for the overall coordination of the Riksbank's activities. It is also responsible for the Executive Board's joint work.
Organisation
The department has approximately 50 employees and is headed by Mats Galvenius. The department is divided into four secretariats – the Secretariat of the Executive Board, the Communications Secretariat, the International Secretariat and the Legal Secretariat.
